Study: Pfizer Vaccine Temporarily Reduces Sperm Count

During the so-called testing of the COVID-19 “vaccines”, some doctors expressed concern about its effects on women’s reproductive system. There were also concerns regarding men’s reproductive system but some of the reasoning came across as less solid at the time.

An Israeli study published on 17 June April 2022 titled “Covid-19 vaccination BNT162b2 temporarily impairs semen concentration and total motile count among semen donors” by I. Gat et al has found pretty much just that.

The study involved 37 sperm donors who provided at least one sample across four timeframes: T0, pre-vaccination (control); T1, 15–45 days post-vaccination; T2, 75–125 days post-vaccination; and T3, >145 days post-vaccination.

No significant change was demonstrated between T1 and T0. However, while volume and motility changes on T2 were not significant, sperm concentration was significantly lower due to decrease of −15.4% (confidence interval −25.5%–3.9%) compared to T0 (p = 0.01). Moreover, TMC [Total Motile Count] percentage change reduction of 22.1% was significantly lower compared to T0 (confidence interval −35% – −6.6%, p = 0.007) as well. Although concentration and TMC were reduced also on T3, these values did not reach statistical significance (Table 2).

Table 2: Percentage and absolute change compared to T0 as reference measured by repeated measures analysis (total samples).
Table 2: Percentage and absolute change compared to T0 as reference measured by repeated measures analysis (total samples).

In short, whilst there is little change between T0 and T1, there was a reduction of 22.1% in TMC for T2 and a reduction of 19.4% for T3. Although that is a slight improvement, it remains to be seen whether this improvement will continue. Depending on how one looks at it, sperm mobility seems to decline without any indication of improvement. It should be noted that samples after booster shots were excluded.
