A German study by A. Simonis et al titled “Persistent epigenetic memory of SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccination in monocyte-derived macrophages” posted on 25 March 2025 has found that multiple COVID-19 mRNA injections cause longer-term epigenetic changes.
The paper is 20 pages long, most of it is plots and references.
In summary, we demonstrate that SARS-CoV-2 vaccination induces long-term epigenetic modifications in H3K27ac at promoter regions, resulting in enhanced gene expression and innate immune responses to unrelated PAMPs [pathogen-associated molecular patterns] in macrophages, thereby suggesting the induction of trained innate immunity.
This triggers a pro-inflammatory immune response which can happen with other infections, but the problem is that this is prolonged.
