Apparently, the British navy’s HMS Vanguard (S28) failed a test launch of its Trident 2 missile on 30 January 2024. The Vanguard-class submarine has 16 tubes for these missiles.
It’s lovely to see what was once the most powerful navy reduced to being… well, not. And maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if the government weren’t pushing for war with a country that has developed more advanced strike systems even if they haven’t developed missile defense (that we know of) as predicted by some.
I am not suggesting the Brits should cancel Trident but I leave readers with this gem from the classic Yes, Prime Minister.
