Galactic Senate, Coruscant (GNS) – Chancellor Palpatine is considering blanket preemptive pardons for Jedi Anakin Skywalker.
Sources close to the chancellor have revealed that he is discussing with his advisors about the possibility of issuing such pardons.
“It’s no secret that Anakin has committed war crimes every time he’s been deployed during the Clone Wars,” said a source on the condition of anonymity.
Another source associated with the chancellor, however, suspects there is something more.
“I think the chancellor has another mission for Skywalker in the near future, probably one that involves worse than your usual war crime, like slaughtering younglings or something.”
The chancellor’s office has not responded to requests for comment. The Jedi, meanwhile, has reiterated that “no one is above the law” and that “Anakin Skywalker is not a master”.
