Title: Ava
Director(s): Tate Taylor
Screenwriter(s): Matthew Newton
Released: 2020
Runtime: 1h 36m

● Ava (Jessica Chastain) is an assassin for some US agency. Her handler Duke (John Malkovich) is cool enough but his boss Simon (Colin Farrell) thinks Ava is a liability and wants her dead.
● Nothing particularly interesting in the premise or the plot, which is fine, but then there is nothing particularly thrilling about it either when it is supposed to be some sort of thriller. There is a complete lack of cool set pieces. It does try to inject some personal issues and the mandatory minor twist into it but none of it really works. A waste of a decent cast.
