New York City, NY – Following the outrage over Elon Musk’s recent Nazi/Love salute, some have called for legal action against Rose and Jack, passengers of the RMS Titanic on her maiden voyage in 1912.
“I don’t care how much love they claim to have—after all, they had just met—but raising both arms on the bow of the ship like that is just unacceptable,” said Sally Greenspan, a political science lecturer.
Many users on X have expressed concern if not outrage.
“We cannot tolerate any expression of love, whether it is a salute or not,” wrote an official of a left-wing party in Spain.
“This was eight years before the Nazi party was founded,” wrote a German history student, “but their hearts can go on… and on, so I think it wise to ban Love salutes. And Celine Dion.”
“Just as well the boat sank. No more Love salutes from those two. And the sister ship Britannic sank from a German mine. I take that as a sign,” wrote another.
Musk has not responded to requests for further comment. However, one of his staff speaking on the condition of anonymity indicated that Musk “seems happy people are still using his platform to bitch and moan”.
