Los Angeles, CA – A Californian state government board on Saturday vetoed 11–1 to stop using the word “gangbanger” due to its negative connotations.
“The term discriminates against those who want to go around looting or doing drive-by shootings,” said one official. “And we can’t have that in this day and age.”
Another official, however, was not directly concerned about the subject. “I simply thought we were trying to outdo Colorado that earlier decided to no longer use the term ‘sex offender’—we gotta keep up, right?”
The board recommends using “person affiliated with a local unlawful group” or “someone who just sells drugs and takes your stuff” or “someone who shoots you”.
The decision also serves another purpose. “It also helps to not discriminate against what is a very popular category in porn,” said the official.
In that regard, the board recommends to use in place of “gangbanger” terms such as “participant in an adult film or video with at least four performers” or “artist within a group sexual performance”.
In other news, a 10-year-old boy from San Francisco was suspended for suggesting that “politicians” is to be replaced with the term “c**ts”.
