Whilst nothing particularly special, it is overall a solid slice-of-life anime about a young woman’s struggles and her loyal cat.

Moderately funny but can be dark and serious in parts. Measured and balanced in most respects. Entertaining.

Although there is nothing particularly new, the story is intriguing enough with strong characters and it does look good.

Although it is about friendship, it takes a more ambiguous approach compared to Shinkai’s previous works.
