Effective opening, then takes a quieter approach. Short and tight. Full of tropes which makes it amusing. Some hate it but is not a bad mild sci-fi horror-thriller.

It was like watching a well-animated Cliff’s Notes of the Gospel with some Charles Dickens and just about the worst pet in film history thrown in.
